Chocks, Levels & Stabilisers
It should come as no surprise that you need an array of poles, pegs and tie downs to correctly setup your tent, annex or privacy screen. Although they come included with many products, this is not true of them all – plus, we understand that having spare RV pegs and motorhome poles on hand or needing replacements is sometimes necessary.

WHY LEVELLING IS IMPORTANT
Ensuring that your RV or caravan sits securely on a level surface is essential for a number of reasons, including: allowing weight to be distributed evenly across the van, ensuring appliances work correctly, ensuring plumbing works correctly, makes setting up privacy screens and annexes easier, and prevents objects from rolling away.
USE CHOCKS WHEN PARKED
Many people feel that RV or caravan chocks aren’t needed when they’re parked on a relatively flat surface, but this is a great way to ensure peace of mind when unhitched. Remember that handbrakes can fail and that kids like to touch things they shouldn’t, so some well-placed RV chocks can prevent a disaster from occurring.

FAQS About Chocks, Levels & Stabilisers
How do I use RV levels and caravan chocks?
Firstly, you need to determine which side of the van needs to be levelled (a spirit level or T-bubble level is useful for this). Then you place your levelling ramp in front of the tyres that need to be lifted, and drive onto the ramp so that the spirit level is even. Ensure that you secure your van into place so that it doesn’t move or shift.
When you should you use RV chocks?
It’s important to remember that these are one of the most important safety items for a trailer, caravan or motorhome. They’re designed to prevent unintentional movements, such as rolling, so should be used whenever your vehicle is parked. Do not use makeshift chocks, like a brick, as these are not manufactured to the correct size.
