The John Guest PSL Pressure Limiting Valves is of an inline barrel design. The valve mechanism remains open if the pressure in the supply line falls below the maximum preset pressure. The additional non-return feature in the outlet of the PLX1201 prevents reverse flow in this situation.
Features:
- Now lead free brass
- High pressure and temperature tolerances
- Suitable for a wide variety of pressure limiting applications including caravans and RVs
- Integrated non-return function prevents reverse flow
- Stainless steel valve seat
- Dezincification resistant to Australian Standard AS 2345
- Meets Australian Standard AS/NZS 4020:2018 for portable water supply
- Suitable for horizontal or vertical installation. Valve designed to work effectively in either orientation
This valve is of a piston based design and needs a vent hole to ensure correct operation. If this valve is exposed to high inlet pressures (e.g. poor water conditions or under water hammer conditions), damage to the valve can result in water discharging through the vent hole. Water discharging from the vent hole is a visual indication of valve malfunction, requiring rectification. The vent hole should not be covered or filled in any way. Do not install this valve in enclosed spaces or areas where the venting of water has a potential to cause damage.
The use of liquid thread sealant is not recommended.

- Temperature supply range: Up to 80°C
- Maximum supply pressure: 2,000kPa
- Set outlet pressure: 350kPa
